Insufficient Thinning

薄度不够

Vocal Science Principle

Insufficient vocal fold thinning — the vocal folds fail to thin adequately in the upper register, causing difficulty with high notes.

Detection criteria:

  • F0 exceeds threshold (default > 400 Hz, indicating upper register)
  • H1-H2 exceeds threshold (default > 8 dB)
  • When F0 is high but H1-H2 remains elevated, it indicates the CT (cricothyroid) muscle is not sufficiently active, and the vocal folds have not thinned appropriately for the pitch.

    Justin's Note

    CT 肌肉活动不足,声带在高音区未能适当变薄
