Insufficient Closure

声带闭合不足

Vocal Science Principle

Insufficient vocal fold closure — air leaks through the glottis during phonation.

Detection criteria:

  • NAQ (Normalized Amplitude Quotient) exceeds threshold (default > 0.3)

    • High NAQ indicates the vocal folds are not closing completely, allowing excess airflow to escape. This results in a breathy, weak tone.
