Excessive compression — too much high-frequency energy, producing a shrill, harsh sound.

Detection criteria:

  • SPR (Singing Power Ratio) exceeds threshold (default > 0 dB)
  • When SPR is positive, it means high-frequency energy dominates over the fundamental, indicating the voice is over-compressed and lacks warmth.
